Dr. Daniel “Danny” Miller

Dr. Daniel Miller’s executive credentials feature over 30 years studying and applying leadership development.  A 1986 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Danny earned his Master’s from the University of Northern Colorado and Doctorate from Colorado Technical University.

Dr. Miller is a 20+ year veteran of the US Air Force where he served primarily in positions to develop others.  He’s trained missile combat crews, spent ten years on the staff/faculty of the United States Air Force Academy, and served five years  in the Pentagon, working directly with senior leaders in Headquarters US Air Force, the Joint Staff, and Office of the Secretary of Defense in developing long-range plans and analysis in support of force development and senior leader development. He provided internal consultation services to the US Air Force, Navy, Marine Corp, Army, Coast Guard, Royal Air Force and Ministry of Defense (UK), Australian, Israeli and Canadian Air Forces.

Since retiring from the US Air Force in 2006, Danny served in contractor status through 2019 leading the team that provided support, guidance and execution for US Air Force’s executive development (all general officers, Senior Executive Service members, colonels, GS 14-15s, and select CMSgts) across the active, guard and reserve forces.  The team created standardized, repeatable processes for developing, delivering, assessing, and continuously improving a principle-based, values-centered, competency-focused leadership training program covering leadership development, business, public policy, national security, regional studies and more – synchronizing and integrating the efforts of more than 100 subcontractors to deliver an innovative developmental model.  Danny’s team executed over 250 courses, meetings and events for 4,000+ participants annually.

Beyond his experience and academic endeavors, Danny is certified to administer and deliver feedback in DDI- and CCL-proprietary 360-degree assessments, Emotional Intelligence EQi 2.0®, Conflict Dynamics Profile®, Hogan Assessments (HDS, HPI, MVPI, Insights and HBRI), WorkPlace Big 5™, Change Style Indicator®, Myers Briggs Type Indicator®, FIRO-B®, Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, DiSC® and others.  Danny is high- and low-ropes course facilitation and rescue certified.
